Semrush Pricing 2026: What Changed and Is It Still Worth It?

Semrush has adjusted its pricing again for 2026, and existing subscribers are feeling the pinch. The Pro plan has crept up to $139.95/mo (from $129.95 last year), and the Guru plan now sits at $249.95/mo.

What Actually Changed

The price increases apply to new subscribers immediately and existing subscribers at renewal. Annual plans also increased proportionally, though the 17% discount for annual billing remains.

The good news: no features were removed. Semrush actually added their AI content assistant to all paid plans, which was previously a separate add-on. So you’re getting more — you’re just paying more for it too.

Who This Affects Most

Solo bloggers and freelancers feel this the hardest. If you’re only using Semrush for keyword research, you’re now paying $140/mo for a feature that Mangools offers for $30/mo. The value equation has shifted.

Agencies are less affected because the per-project economics still work when you’re billing clients.

What Are the Alternatives?

If the price increase pushed you over the edge, here are your best options:

  • SE Ranking — The closest all-in-one alternative at roughly half the price. Does 80% of what Semrush does.
  • Mangools — If you only need keyword research, KWFinder at $30/mo is hard to beat.
  • Serpstat — Budget all-in-one from $59/mo. Less polished but capable.

Our Take

Semrush remains the best all-in-one SEO platform. The price increase is annoying but not unreasonable given the AI additions. If you use 3+ Semrush features daily, it’s still worth it. If you only use keyword research, it’s time to explore cheaper options.
